Adjunct Pastor Terry Shanahan
Rev. Shanahan was born in Niles, MI and graduated from high school in
Pompano Beach, FL. He attended undergraduate studies at Northeastern
Junior College in Sterling, CO, and completed his Bachelor of Arts
degree at the University of NH. In 1995 he graduated from
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, So. Hamilton, MA. In 1998, he was
ordained in the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (CCCC)
and from 2002-2007, served as the Conference Area Representative for
the State of NH.
In July 2007, Rev. Shanahan was appointed and
affirmed by the CCCC
Board of Directors to the position of Northeast Reginal Minister. He is
also currently an Adjunct Pastor at the Rye Congregational Church.
Rev. Shanahan and his wife, Karlotta Perkins
Shanahan, are founders
of the Family Restoration Center, a Christian counseling ministry to
Rye families. They have spoken at marriage retreats and worked with
couples in crisis as well as doing premarital evaluations,
consultations and counseling for area churches.
The Shanahan family has lived in Rye since 1971
and have two
children, Sarah of Portsmouth, NH and James of Edgewater, FL, and a
granddaughter, Molly.
